4th Circ. Tosses $15M Labor Suit Against Verizon

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 7:08 PM ET) -- The Fourth Circuit on Friday threw out a putative class action against Verizon Communications Inc. alleging the company owed some of its administrative clerks $15 million because it paid them less than workers in another state.

The decision, issued by a three-judge panel, affirms Verizon's July 2010 victory in a lower court, when U.S. District Judge Roger W. Titus dismissed the suit and awarded Verizon costs.
