Law360, New York (June 07, 2011, 1:19 PM ET) -- A Washington judge on Monday denied the District of Columbia's bid to dismiss a False Claims Act suit brought by a former municipal technology employee alleging retaliation for reporting the mishandling of federal funds.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly agreed with plaintiff Theresa Weston Saunders, a former employee in the district's Office of the Chief Technology Officer, that a three-year statute of limitations applied to the case, rather than a one-year statute, as the district had argued.
