Collins & Aikman Buries Hatchet With UAW

Law360, New York (June 04, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- After months of warring, Collins & Aikman has reached an agreement with the United Auto Workers over the termination of its retiree benefits, clearing another obstacle from its path to exiting bankruptcy.

On Friday, the embattled auto supplier asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan to sign off on the deal, which the two parties had finalized the day before.
