Smithfield Workers Closer To Class Cert. In Wage Suit

Law360, New York (September 06, 2011, 1:50 PM ET) -- A North Carolina federal judge on Friday recommended granting class and collective action certification to workers at a Smithfield Packing Co. Inc. bacon processing plant who claimed they weren’t paid for required activities performed before and after their shifts.
