KAG West To Pay $14M To End Drivers' FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (September 07, 2011, 12:18 PM ET) -- Tank truck transportation provider KAG West LLC agreed Tuesday to pay $14 million to settle a California class action claiming the carrier didn't pay its drivers adequate overtime wages.

A group of current and former truck drivers for the company asked the Northern District of California to give preliminary approval to the deal, including certifying an opt-in class for the federal wage-and-hour claims and a state opt-out class for the plaintiffs' claims brought under a bevy of California laws.
