Law360, New York (September 15, 2011, 3:51 PM ET) -- The Federal Aviation Administration said Thursday it had hit Colgan Air Inc. with a proposed fine of nearly $1.9 million for letting flight attendants work on 172 flights without proper training on the planes' cabin fire extinguisher system.
The FAA said it had informed Manassas, Va.-based Colgan, a subsidiary of Pinnacle Airlines Corp., that the 84 newly hired flight attendants had not completed required training before they worked flights on the Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 twin turbo-prop aircraft in November 2009.
