NLRB Head Says Narrower Rule Won't Affect Most Elections

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 7:42 PM ET) -- The National Labor Relations Board's scaled-back version of a controversial proposal to expedite union elections won't have an impact on the overwhelming majority of NLRB-supervised elections, the board's chairman said Tuesday.

At a public meeting Wednesday afternoon, the NLRB will vote on a resolution from Chairman Mark Gaston Pearce that represents a more modest version of the overhaul of the union election process that the board pitched in June.
