Lawmakers Pan Obama's CFPB, NLRB Recess Appointments

Law360, New York (February 15, 2012, 7:32 PM ET) -- Lawmakers assailed President Barack Obama's recent recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at a congressional hearing Tuesday, and explored what recourse might exist to the controversial moves.

The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing titled “Executive Overreach: The President's Unprecedented 'Recess' Appointments” and heard testimony from attorneys of Vinson & Elkins LLP and Cooper & Kirk PLLC, as well as a law professor from George Washington University.
