Mich. To Appeal Fight Over Construction Contract Labor Law

Law360, New York (March 07, 2012, 5:54 PM ET) -- Michigan's attorney general on Wednesday vowed to appeal a federal court's ruling striking down a law that prohibits union-only labor agreements on state and local government construction projects.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette said he would ask the Sixth Circuit to overturn U.S. District Judge Victoria A. Roberts’ Feb. 29 decision ruling that the National Labor Relations Act preempts the Michigan Fair and Open Competition in Governmental Construction Act.
