Trending Topic: Twitter's 'Innovator's Patent Agreement'

Law360, New York (May 15, 2012, 1:58 PM ET) -- On April 17, 2012, social media company Twitter Inc. unveiled its “Innovator’s Patent Agreement” (“IPA”), a new policy covering assignment of inventions by Twitter employees to Twitter. According to Twitter, the IPA is a new type of patent assignment agreement, which gives Twitter employee inventors more control over how their patents may be used in the future.
