Law360, New York (May 25, 2012, 5:47 PM ET) -- A Texas fitness equipment manufacturer on Thursday hit a former employee and Cybex International Inc. with a petition in state court accusing them of conspiring to steal trade secrets and campaigning to drive the company out of business.
Quantum Fitness Corp. claims that Kyle Smith, a former vice president of sales, left the company to work for direct competitor Cybex, taking Quantum’s confidential information with him, which is now being used by Smith and Cybex to lure away Quantum’s customer base.
