Law360, New York (September 10, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- One of four executives blamed for a fatal 2005 plant explosion in Texas City, Texas, by a BP PLC confidential report denied on Monday that profits had come before safety while he was at the plant.
Don Parus, a manager at the Texas City refinery, gave his third day of testimony at the first civil trial to emerge from the March 2005 blast that killed 15 workers and injured hundreds.
He insinuated that managers who made cost-cutting decisions for years may hold responsibility in the matter....
