Chamber, Others Want EEOC To Pay For Bungled Title VII Suit

Law360, New York (June 08, 2012, 5:40 PM ET) -- Three business trade groups on Thursday urged the Sixth Circuit to uphold an order forcing the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to pay Peoplemark Inc.'s legal costs in a botched discrimination suit, saying the suit was without merit.

In an amicus brief, the business groups — the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Equal Employment Advisory Council and the National Federation of Independent Business Small Business Legal Center — told the appeals court it should affirm $750,000 in attorneys' fees and other costs awarded to temporary employment...
