McKool Settles Malpractice Claims Over NFL Players' Images

Law360, New York (June 27, 2012, 7:09 PM ET) -- A class of retired NFL players who accused McKool Smith PC and Manatt Phelps & Phillips LLP of malpractice for botching a $26 million video game licensing settlement agreed Monday to drop the claims against McKool but not Manatt.

The former players told the Ninth Circuit — the case is on appeal after a California federal judge tossed it in December 2010 — that they had reached a class-wide settlement with McKool and asked for the case to be remanded so they could wrap it up....
