Law360, New York (July 09, 2012, 6:14 PM ET) -- The Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., and Unite Here Local 54 have settled the casino's lawsuit seeking to block the union from disrupting its operations, the union confirmed Monday.
Tropicana sued the union, which represents 1,500 of its employees, following a June 15 demonstration that obstructed traffic and access to the casino, purportedly causing it "irreparable harm, injury and damages," according to the June 22 complaint. The two sides are embroiled in a bitter contract dispute.
