Law360, New York (July 19, 2012, 4:51 PM ET) -- The Supreme Court for the State of Washington on Thursday upheld an appeals court ruling granting a new trial to a class of FedEx Ground Package System Inc. drivers who accuse the company of misclassifying them as independent contractors.
The high court sided with a state appeals court’s ruling, which threw out a jury’s verdict that found the drivers were independent contractors, and not employees of FedEx.
