Law360, New York (August 22, 2012, 3:36 PM ET) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Tuesday claimed a Texas Burger King franchise operator discriminated against a female cashier by firing her for wearing a skirt to work as required by her Pentecostal Christian religion.
In a complaint filed in Texas federal court, the EEOC accused Fries Restaurant Management LLC of violating Title VII by failing to accommodate Ashanti McShan’s religious beliefs and subsequently firing the cashier when she refused to wear pants.
