Law360, New York (September 20, 2012, 4:02 PM ET) -- Fox Searchlight Pictures Inc. on Wednesday objected to a bid by former interns seeking money for their unpaid gigs to expand their putative class by adding parent company Fox Entertainment Group Inc. and unfair competition claims in California.
In a memorandum filed in New York federal court, Searchlight said that the plaintiffs' request to add all FEG interns to the putative class and to bring claims under California's Unfair Competition Law should be denied because they cannot withstand a motion to dismiss.
