Law360, New York (September 28, 2012, 10:20 PM ET) -- A former accounting executive for Playboy Enterprises Inc. on Tuesday launched a whistleblower suit against the company, claiming she was fired after alerting general counsel of what she deemed an attempted embezzlement of $1 million by her superiors.
Former senior vice president and corporate controller Catherine A. Zulfer says she lost her job in December after repeatedly refusing Chief Financial Officer Christoph Placher’s demands that she set aside $1 million for executive bonuses that had not been approved by the board of directors.
