Ex-WestLB Employee Wins $2.54M Jury Verdict

Law360, New York (November 09, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A jury has awarded a former employee of German bank WestLB AG $2.54 million, finding that the financial services company retaliated against the female employee but did not discriminate against her because she was a woman.

On Thursday, a jury in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found WestLB liable for retaliation against Claudia Quinby, a former salesperson in the bank’s brokerage department working out of the bank’s New York City branch, attorneys involved in the case said.
