Law360, New York (November 14, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A Pennsylvania judge has ordered Wal-Mart Inc. to pay $33 million in legal fees to attorneys who represented plaintiffs in a class action over unpaid wages, taking the total award against the company to $187 million after a five-year battle.
In a ruling issued Wednesday, Judge Mark Bernstein said the plaintiffs' firms had produced detailed fees and expenses reports, while Wal-Mart's expert witness, who had criticized the bill, showed a “callous disregard for candor before the court.”
