Newspaper Carrier Case Could Bolster Class Bids In Calif.

Law360, San Diego (January 31, 2013, 11:18 PM ET) -- The California Supreme Court said Wednesday it will consider whether newspaper carriers for Antelope Valley Newspapers Inc. who conduct their jobs in various ways can be treated as a class if they are subject to a common job policy. A finding for the carriers could make it tougher for companies to defeat class certification bids in employment and consumer matters, experts said.
