Archdiocese Pulls Back Bid For Contraception Mandate Docs

Law360, Washington (April 23, 2013, 8:10 PM ET) -- The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York has withdrawn its request for Obama administration documents stemming from the Affordable Care Act's contraception mandate, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a Washington federal court filing Monday.

The archdiocese initially sent the subpoena in February, asking for a myriad of documents and files from President Barack Obama himself and White House staff as part of its underlying suit in New York federal court challenging the contraception mandate and any potential implications it could have on the archdiocese....
