Whistleblower Wants Jackson Lewis DQ'd In Sun FCA Suit

Law360, New York (May 17, 2013, 1:56 PM ET) -- A whistleblower asked a Florida federal judge Thursday to disqualify Jackson Lewis LLP from representing Sun Healthcare Group Inc. in a suit accusing it of falsely billing Medicare, saying the firm has misused sealed records in another case.

According to relator Margaret Jallali, a former therapy program manager for the nursing home operator, Jackson Lewis attorney Colin Thakkar had improperly used sealed documents from the False Claims Act suit to formulate discovery requests in a retaliation suit filed by Jallali, then pushed for discovery sanctions when...
