Ex-Deputy General Counsel Sues SEPTA Over Firing

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 5:20 PM ET) -- The former deputy general counsel of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority sued the transit agency in federal court on Monday, alleging she was improperly fired and also defamed by SEPTA’s top attorney.

Eileen Giordano Katz, who served as deputy general counsel of SEPTA from 2000 to 2012, said the agency was determined to terminate her and that her superiors launched a sham investigation to discredit her managerial abilities.
