DOL's $190K Nonimmigrant-Worker Noticing Penalty Tossed

Law360, New York (October 18, 2013, 7:33 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Labor's $192,625 civil penalty against Camo Technologies Inc. in 2010 for an alleged 67 notice-posting violations was thrown out by a New Jersey federal judge on Friday, as the consulting company had repeatedly attempted to comply with DOL requirements.

U.S. District Judge William Martini found that Camo had taken multiple steps to comply with DOL notice-posting regulations, which rules out any “willful violations” of notice requirements for the employment of nonimmigrant workers at Camo's offices and at any third-party offices.
