Questions Linger After Dodd-Frank Whistleblower Rulings

Law360, New York (January 16, 2014, 8:24 PM ET) -- Decisions in Dodd-Frank whistleblower suits have provided some insight into how retaliation cases brought under the 2010 law may play out, but there are still important unsettled questions about the statute's whistleblower protections. 

The Fifth Circuit issued a ruling in a Dodd-Frank case in 2013 that raised eyebrows, and federal district courts have been helping to shape the legal landscape by weighing in on the scope of what its retaliation provisions cover.
