Appeals Court Upholds NLRB Order Against Hospitals

Law360, New York (March 11, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld a decision by the National Labor Relations Board that an Indiana hospital operator had violated nurses' rights and discriminated against a pro-union nurse in its efforts to curtail union-related activities in the hospital.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit denied St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Centers' petition to review the NLRB's decision, which was handed down in June 2007. The court granted the board's application for a court order enforcing its ruling.
