Construction Co. Settles Race Bias Suit For $1.5M

Law360, New York (March 20, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Construction company Washington Group International has agreed to fork over $1.5 million to a group of black workers who sued for racial harassment and retaliation.

Announcing the settlement Wednesday, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said WGI had signed a consent decree to compensate 17 construction workers at a Massachusetts construction site.
