National Oilwell's Trade Secrets Case Weak: Jury

Law360, New York (May 08, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- A Houston jury has shot down National Oilwell Varco LP's lawsuit against rival oil field supply company A&B Valve & Piping LP and four former employees that alleged A&B raided its workforce to obtain confidential information to solicit employees and customers.

Following a four-week trial and about four hours of deliberation, the jurors decided Wednesday that A&B and employees Connie Dobson, Martin Willmore, Tara Kolar and Linda Urbanek had not misappropriated NOV's trade secrets.
