Law360, New York (May 09, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Cajun restaurant chain Razzoo's is set to pay over $1 million to settle charges that it refused to hire or promote males to bartender jobs, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said Wednesday.
The Texas-based chain agreed to the pretrial settlement in order to lay to rest a sex discrimination lawsuit brought by a class of male applicants and employees. They claimed company management set up a plan for an 80-20 ratio of women to men behind the bar.
