Duke Energy To Build Smart Grid In Ind.

Law360, New York (June 08, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Indiana will be among the first U.S. states to have smart grid technology now that Duke Energy Corp. has reached a deal with industry and consumer groups, the utility said Monday.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Duke Energy has reached an agreement with the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor and some consumer and industry groups to begin construction of a smart grid in Indiana.
