Davis-Lynch Can't Depose Opposing Counsel: Judge

Law360, New York (July 22, 2009, 8:19 PM ET) -- A federal judge has refused to allow Davis-Lynch Inc. to depose trial counsel from Howrey LLP for opponent Weatherford International Inc. in a long-running infringement dispute over a patent for oil and gas drilling technology.

Judge John D. Love of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Tuesday agreed to quash the subpoenas for Stephen Cagle and Dean Lechtenberger, two Howrey attorneys defending Weatherford against infringement claims.
