FERC Grants Hearing On New England Power Claims

Law360, New York (August 25, 2009, 6:31 PM ET) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has granted an investigative hearing on allegations that New England power companies manipulated the energy market.

FERC filed notice Tuesday that it would grant a hearing before Administrative Law Judge H. Peter Young, after Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal leveled complaints in April over the bidding activity and market monitoring structure of several power companies.
