Law360, New York (November 03, 2009, 6:50 PM ET) -- Energy companies, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal offered oral arguments Tuesday before the U.S. Supreme Court in a case that could decide the scope and meaning of the Mobile-Sierra doctrine.
No party, however, seemed to convince the court of anything — except that the core questions of the dispute could not be fully addressed.
