Law360, New York (February 17, 2010, 5:07 PM ET) -- The South Dakota Legislature has passed a resolution officially opposing cap-and-trade climate change measures being considered on Capitol Hill, saying the bills would hurt agriculture, manufacturing and small business in the state.
The resolution — which passed overwhelmingly in both the state House of Representatives, 48-21, and Senate, 24-8 — attacks the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate versions of a bill that would set tangible goals for limiting greenhouse gas emissions.
