Law360, New York (August 10, 2010, 11:56 AM ET) -- French electricity giant GDF Suez SA said Tuesday it was set to take control of International Power PLC by combining its GDF Suez Energy International unit with the U.K.-based power producer, with the new company to pay current International Power shareholders a $2.2 billion special dividend.
