Law360, New York (August 20, 2010, 11:52 AM ET) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Friday it would push back the deadline for comments on two competing plans for regulating the storage of waste from coal-fired power plants, after receiving numerous requests for more time to study the unprecedented rule.
The agency also said it planned to hold additional public hearings on the rule in the coal hubs of Pittsburgh and Louisville, Ky., in response to the significant public interest.
