Law360, New York (March 12, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- ConocoPhillips Inc. has been accused in U.S. federal court of cooperating with corrupt Indonesian officials and using stolen research data to gain access to $50 billion worth of oil and natural gas reserves in the Malay Archipelago.
The 109-page complaint was filed on March 1 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia by Oceanic Exploration Co. The Englewood, Col.-based company accused ConocoPhillips of using bribery and theft to access the best drilling spots in the Timor Sea, located between East Timor and Australia....
