Law360, New York (January 11, 2011, 6:44 PM ET) -- General Electric Co. has snatched up London-based Remote Energy Monitoring Ltd., aiming to bolster its ability to address the European Union's energy efficiency objectives.
The transaction, which closed Tuesday for an unspecified price, will allow GE to merge its electric metering technologies with Remote Energy Monitoring's upgradeable metering solutions, which are approved by U.K. regulators, to enable easy adoption of new technologies to fuel the clean energy evolution, according to the companies.
