Law360, New York (April 29, 2011, 7:16 PM ET) -- Houston-based Linn Energy LLC said Thursday that it had moved to acquire $163 million in additional oil and natural gas properties in North Dakota's Williston Basin, increasing its total acquisitions so far in 2011 to $637 million.
In late February, Linn Energy announced a $434 million purchase of oil properties that enabled it to establish a foothold in the Williston Basin and expand its presence in the Permian Basin of Texas and New Mexico.
