House Panel May Subpoena White House For Solyndra Docs

Law360, New York (October 28, 2011, 6:14 PM ET) -- A congressional committee said Friday it would vote on whether to subpoena the White House for internal communications related to the U.S. Department of Energy's loan guarantee for now-bankrupt solar company Solyndra LLC, expressing frustration that the White House had so far refused to hand over the requested records.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee, which is investigating the $535 million guarantee, will hold a hearing Thursday to consider issuing a subpoena for internal White House communications related to the loan guarantee.
