Law360, New York (December 06, 2011, 5:46 PM ET) -- U.S. environmental regulators agreed Monday to allow ConocoPhillips to build a pipeline and bridge over a major river in northern Alaska, bringing the energy giant closer to launching the first oil and gas production in a key Arctic petroleum reserve.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Fish and Wildlife Service reached an agreement in principle with ConocoPhillips to construct a pipeline and bridge over the Colville River to carry oil, gas and equipment from the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska.
