Marguerite Fund Snaps Up Stake In EDF Solar Farm

Law360, New York (January 09, 2012, 9:55 PM ET) -- European infrastructure investor Marguerite Fund has bought a 31 percent share of what has been touted as Europe's largest solar project from French renewable energy company EDF Energies Nouvelles, the fund announced Monday.

The equity fund acquired 36 megawatts of EDF’s 115-megawatt Toul-Rosieres solar panel project — which will use photovoltaic panels to convert sunlight into energy — for an undisclosed sum after securing financing under a term loan facility arranged by commercial banks BNP Paribas SA and Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank.
