French Renewable Energy Co. Nabs 161-MW US Wind Farm

Law360, New York (January 18, 2012, 4:46 PM ET) -- EDF Energies Nouvelles, the renewable arm of France's state-owned electricity company, will buy a 161-megawatt wind farm under development in Texas from U.S.-based Cielo Wind Power, the company said Wednesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The project, which is expected to be completed this year, is under a 15-year power purchase agreement with Xcel Energy, according to a 2010 release.
