Law360, New York (February 09, 2012, 10:35 PM ET) -- A Louisiana federal judge on Thursday granted BP PLC's request to exclude evidence of prior oil refinery accidents and spills from the upcoming trial in multidistrict litigation over the Deepwater Horizon spill.
U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier said the plaintiffs had failed to demonstrate any substantial similarity between the prior incidents and the April 20, 2010, explosion and oil spill.
