Law360, New Orleans (March 02, 2012, 6:07 PM ET) -- The Tenth Circuit on Friday denied requests by Public Service Co. New Mexico and the New Mexico state government to suspend a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rule requiring steep cuts in emissions from the state’s main power source.
The EPA’s rule orders PNM to install selective catalytic reduction technology at the high-pollutiing, coal-fired San Juan Generating Station to reduce emissions that obstruct views of the Grand Canyon and other national parks in the region.
