Siemens Scores 50-MW Wind Turbine Deal In Turkey

Law360, New York (March 13, 2012, 6:02 PM ET) -- Siemens AG has won a contract for a 50-megawatt onshore wind project in southwestern Turkey, which will be its third in the country, the company announced Tuesday.

The Dinar wind power project contract will allow the Munich-based company to deliver 22 wind turbines with 2.3-MW outputs. Siemens Energy won the contract from Olgu Enerji Uretim AS, an affiliate of Gueris Holding AS and Mogan Enerji Yatirim Holding AS.

Each turbine has a rotor diameter of 108 meters (118 yards) and will be installed on 80-meter (87-yard)...
