Law360, New York (March 21, 2012, 1:52 PM ET) -- China's trade regulator spoke out on Wednesday against the U.S. Department of Commerce's decision to impose countervailing duties on Chinese solar panel exports, saying the tariffs would harm trade and the development of clean energy in both countries.
The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China argued against a preliminary determination by the U.S. trade agency that Chinese solar panel producers had unfairly benefited from government subsidy programs, saying the ruling would ultimately hurt both nations.
