Law360, New York (April 10, 2012, 4:48 PM ET) -- A presidential panel on nuclear energy urged the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Tuesday to play a nonpolitical role in implementing its proposals to more effectively manage the country's nuclear waste.
In their final round of testimony before the federal government, members of the Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future told the NRC that the agency was in a position to put some of its key recommendations in motion without being subject to some of the same constraints as lawmakers.
